Welcome to Ruminati

StockCo is excited to announce their pilot project with Ruminati, a leading Australian ag-tech service provider dedicated to helping producers across Australia track and manage their emissions. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in StockCo’s commitment to environmental stewardship and empowering their producers with innovative tools for climate action.

As part of this collaboration StockCo is offering 2 years of access to the Ruminati PRIME platform (valued at $1200 + GST) at no direct cost to their customers.

Get started with Ruminati in three simple steps

Step 1: Gather your data by downloading the relevant checklist below

Step 2: Once you’ve filled out your checklist, learn to create your report by watching a walkthrough video or speaking to a Ruminati expert

Step 3: Read and agree to our data sharing guide

By taking advantage of this offer you're consenting to sharing summary data about your enterprise, emissions report results and reduction plans with StockCo. By granting consent, you agree to StockCo being provided with access to view these specific data points on the Ruminati platform and aggregate them with other data points to estimate their emissions profile. This consent does not provide StockCo with the authority to share your information directly with any other parties (except in aggregated form) or attribute the information directly to your enterprise in communication with other parties. This summary data will enable StockCo to better understand and estimate emissions levels and mitigation action across their supply chain. You will be provided with the option to revoke data sharing with StockCo once the offer period has been completed (2 years).
Summary Data Share V1

Who can access my data once I add it to the Ruminati platform?

Our platform is designed to ensure you retain complete control over your data at all times. Ruminati does not share your data without your explicit consent.

Corporate Partners:

If you choose to share your data with a corporate partner, you can do so by providing direct consent to a data share request from that organisation. These requests will specify the purpose for sharing and aggregating farm data. A data share request will be communicated via email, a corporate partner web page, and within the Ruminati platform and can only be approved by organisation admins. Be sure to carefully read the data share request before consenting to share your data.

Service Providers:

You may also choose to share your raw and/or emissions data with approved service providers (e.g., your accountant or agronomist) for third-party verification and support. Organisation admins will need to request to share this data with the service provider, and the service provider must approve the request and assign you a representative before the data is shared.

Organisation admins can assign a Service Provider representative one of the following roles:

  • Report Manager: Create/edit reports but no enterprise or team management.

  • Report Viewer: View-only access to reports.

Organisation admins can stop data sharing data with service providers anytime.

Your Team Members:

You may also choose to share your raw and/or emissions data with members of your team. Organisation admins will need to request to add a new user to the team, and the team member must approve the request before the data is shared.

Organisation admins can assign a team member one of the following roles:

  • Organisation Admin: Full access, including managing enterprises and team roles, and approving data share requests (each organisation must have at least one admin).

  • Report Manager: Create/edit reports but can’t manage enterprises or roles or approve data share requests.

  • Report Viewer: View-only access to reports.

Organisation admins can change permissions or remove team members at any time.

CORPORATE PARTNERS

What happens when a corporate partner requests that you share some of your data with them?

1. You’ll receive an email/access to a web page providing specific information on what data they are requesting you share (e.g. your total emissions number from your baseline and any emissions reduction activities you’ve commenced).

2. OR you can view that data share request on the Corporate Partners page within your Ruminati account. No information will be shared by Ruminati until you have provided consent.

Corporate partner data share requests can only be approved by organisation admins.

Note: Organisation admins can revoke data sharing at any time via the Corporate Partners page. Where your access to a PRIME subscription has been via use of a voucher provided by a corporate partner, you will be able to stop sharing your data with that partner, only once the voucher term has been completed. If you revoke data sharing, previously shared emissions summary data will still remain accessible to the corporate partner but no new data will be added.

When I consent to sharing my data with a corporate partner, what data points am I sharing?

Each data share request you receive details the exact datapoints you’re agreeing to share with that corporate partner. These include:

  • Basic details on your enterprise, such as its name, location and your email.

  • Whether you’ve commenced or completed your baseline, or started reduction planning.

  • Your emissions summary data, or results of your baseline and reduction plan report.

Make sure to read the request carefully.

When I consent to sharing my data with a corporate partner, how can they use that data?

Corporate partners must adhere to Ruminati’s Terms of Use. This means they may only use the data shared with them via Ruminati VISION for the purpose understanding farm level greenhouse gas emissions and reporting on those in an aggregated form (ToU 8.2).

What does the corporate partner see?

When you confirm your consent to share your data, it becomes available to the requesting corporate partner in their Ruminati VISION Dashboard. The requesting corporate partner will see your summary data that can be used with other farms’ summary data to construct an aggregated view of different supply chain’s emissions through the Ruminati VISION dashboard.

Ruminati VISION does not enable organisations to share your summary information with others, and Ruminati’s terms of use prohibit them publicly attributing any data to your enterprise.

Here’s an example of what a corporate partner will see on their Ruminati VISION dashboard:

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Can service providers edit my data or create reports on my behalf?

Yes, but only if an organisation admin gives them the appropriate access. Organisation admins can assign and change their role under the Members tab to either:

  • Report Manager: Can create and edit reports but cannot manage enterprises or team roles.

  • Report Viewer: Can only view reports and data.

Can I stop data sharing with a service provider or switch to a new service provider (e.g., if I change consultants or accountants)?

Yes, an organisation admin can disconnect from a service provider at any time. Once the connection is ended, the service provider will no longer have access to any of your retrospective data.

If you’d like to share data with a new service provider, simply send them a new data share request.

If you’re changing representatives within the same provider, the provider can reassign a representative for you as part of their internal process.

If I delete a service provider, will they still have access to my emissions data and reports they created?

No, once a service provider is deleted, they lose all access to your organisation’s data and any emissions reports they created or edited.

If I delete a service provider, will I still have access to the emissions reports and data they entered on my behalf?

Yes, any data or reports entered or edited by service providers of your organisation remain in your account, even if the service provider is removed.

TEAM MEMBERS

Can team members edit my data or create reports on my behalf?

Yes, but only if an organisation admin gives them the appropriate access. Organisation admins can assign and change their role under the Members tab to either:

  • Organisation Admin: Full access, including managing enterprises and team roles, and approving data share requests (each organisation must have at least one admin).

  • Report Manager: Create/edit reports but can’t manage enterprises or roles or approve data share requests.

  • Report Viewer: View-only access to reports.

If I delete a team member of my organisation, will they still have access to my emissions data and reports they created?

No, once a team member is deleted, they lose all access to your organisation’s data and any emissions reports they created or edited.

If I delete a member of my organisation, will I still have access to the emissions reports and data they entered on my behalf?

Yes, any data or reports entered or edited by members of your organisation remain in your account, even if the member is removed.

Can a member of my organisation download and use my emissions data for personal use?

No, data can only be used for the organisation’s purposes as per Ruminati’s Terms of Use (8.1). Personal use is not permitted.

Who in my organisation can approve data sharing with corporate partners?

Only organisation admins have the authority to approve (and cancel) data sharing.

If a corporate partner sends a data share request to a Report Manager or Report Viewer in your organisation, only an admin can approve the request. Admins can review and manage requests by clicking on the ‘Data Sharing’ tab in the top menu.

GENERAL FAQS

How can I delete my data?

There are two ways you can delete your farm data:

  • You can do it yourself directly within the platform by either removing the raw data inputs or deleting the entire enterprise.

  • You can request the deletion of your farm data by emailing our Customer Success team at hello@ruminati.com.au.

Please note that even when raw data is deleted, if you have consented to sharing your emissions summary data with a corporate partner, that information will remain shared as per your prior consent.

If I close my account, what happens to my data?

You can close your account at any time by contacting our team at hello@ruminati.com.au. Once we receive your request, our Engineering team will process it within 1 business day.

After you close your Ruminati account, we will retain your data for 30 days before it is permanently deleted. During this period, you have the opportunity to download and save your emissions report as a PDF. Please note that we do not currently offer the option to download raw farm data.

When we process an account closure, all personally identifiable information, such as raw farm inputs, will be removed. However, any historical emissions results that you shared with corporate partners will remain accessible to those partners, as per your prior consent.

How does Ruminati protect my privacy and confidentiality?

We care deeply about protecting the confidentiality of your farm data and keeping your details private.

Our data privacy and cybersecurity policy puts in place robust information security and cyber security safeguards, to ensure your data is collected, stored and protected in accordance with industry best practice, at all times.

Your data is never stored, sent or processed outside of Australia. You can find out more information on our data privacy policy on our website or at this link: https://ruminati.com.au/policies/privacy

Does Ruminati use my data for any other purpose?

Ruminati’s Terms Of Use permit us to only use any data you contribute to our platform in the delivery of the services to you, such as generation of your emissions report, or in aggregated form, to generate regional or industry-level insights.

In other words, we will only utilise your data to produce aggregated insights where any details which could identify your company or your property specifically have been removed and your data has been pooled with others.

We will never directly attribute data or insights to your organisation, unless we have your direct and explicit consent to do so.
